Drew Sheneman
Drew Sheneman earned his BFA in Illustration from Central Michigan University and has been drawing professionally for the more than 20 years since. His career began with cartooning internships at The Detroit News and Oakland Press and from there he went to work as an editorial cartoonist and member of the editorial board for The Star-Ledger, New Jersey’s largest newspaper, where he was on staff until 2010. Drew continues to draw for the Star-Ledger on a weekly basis, and his cartoons are syndicated nationally. He has also worked in commercial illustration for clients like Hasbro and Dungeons and Dragons. Drew has received a number of awards for his work including The Association of American Editorial Cartoonists John Locher Award, The Charles Schulz Award from The Scripps Howard Foundation, and Two Deadline Club Awards from the New York Society of Professional Journalists.
In addition to his editorial cartooning Drew now creates picture books for children, includingNope! and Don’t Eat That!. He currently resides in Bedminster, New Jersey with his wife, daughter, way too many cats, and an ever-expanding comic book collection.
